Lincoln City plays well with others and shows it’s sportsmanship by hosting a Half Marathon a 5K Race and a 3 on 3 Basketball tournament in 2014. Here’s the down low on what is going on in the Lincoln City athletic arena:

Sunday, March 2, 2014 @ 9:00 AM (PST) – 8:00AM early start for Walkers
This loop brings all the best of Lincoln City to the forefront as it curls through country roads lined with forests, meadows and streams. It starts and ends at Wapiti Park which lies on Drift Creek Road adjacent to Drift Creek County Park, just Southeast of Lincoln City.
Both runners and walkers are able to participate in the race and water and refreshments will be provided along the course.

This race takes place at Regatta Park on Devils Lake. A .75k swim on the lake leads to, a 15.5k bike ride around the lake, and finaly a 5k run on city streets. For information call 541-994-2131.

Hoop it Up, the original 3 on 3 national grassroots street ball tour with 25 years of history, is coming to Lincoln City. With brackets for all ages, this 3 on 3 basket ball tournament at the Tanger Outlet Center is sure to be a hit with basket ball players of all stripes. Each team is guaranteed three games and prizes will be awarded for the 1st and 2nd place teams in each division. And yes, there are shooting contests for players and spectators!
